Manufacturer: LEGO
Original Price: $16.99*
Current value: $10,000*
The Lego Vintage 113-2 Train, released in 1966, is an old toy that could be worth a lot of money. Dedicated (and wealthy) collectors are not afraid to pay for sets 113-2 in mint condition.
This motorized train set cost US $ 16.99 when it was first released and its value has jumped to 17.352% since then, with a current average growth of 10% per year. The set is quite rare and collectors sites such as Brick Economy admit that they have not seen it for sale in over six months. This is great news for anyone who owns a 113-2, as it means the price will continue to increase.
Federal Style 104 Bull's Eye Mirror.
Manufacturer: European/British manufacturers
Original Price: Not listed
Value today: US $ 10,000 *
Federal Style Bull's Eye Mirrors are concave mirrors that have been a symbol of wealth and power for centuries. The shape of the mirrors would illuminate a room when it was lit by candles, so these mirrors predate the invention of electricity. The Federal Era ran from 1776 to 1806.
These mirrors were also known as “spinning mirrors” and were made of solid wood covered in gilded bronze and gold leaf. Some of these mirrors looked like portals on ships and were even more expensive when they were made from imported woods such as ebony. A mirror of this type, in excellent condition, could be worth US$ 10,000 or more.
