Norman Rockwell is one of the most famous American painters and illustrators. His work was widely popular due to its universal representation of American culture. He designed the cover of The Saturday Evening Post for almost thirty years.
Rockwell's “Puppy Love” lithographs (a certain type of print using a metal plate or stone) were prints that featured a boy, a dog, and a bunch of puppies. There are fallen leaves floating around the group and it's a beautifully serene image. These lithographs, printed on Arches paper, were sold in limited quantities in 1976 and have since been known to be reprinted at auctions for almost US$$20,000.
