William “Refrigerator” Perry was a defensive lineman who played primarily for the Chicago Bears. During his ten-season NFL career, he made a name for himself by being one of the toughest tacklers of all time. The 6’2” 335-pound lineman’s Super Bowl ring sold for US $200,000 a few years ago.

At auction at Heritage Auctions, Perry won the ring at Super Bowl XX in 1985. His ring was one of the largest rings ever made. He was estimated to be a size twenty-five, but there were no measuring tools available that were large enough to confirm the size. The collectible was auctioned off for charity and came complete with a photo of Perry holding the ring and the letter of authenticity proving it.
