11. The Beatles' White Album
Maker: Apple Records
Original price: US $ 11.28 *
Current value: US $ 790,000 *
The album Branco was released in November 1968 and was the iconic band's ninth studio album. Ringo Star's personal copy of the album sold 50 years later for an incredible $790,000 at auction.
The reason for this is twofold. Firstly, it was owned by the Star and was in his personal collection. He is quoted as saying that the record's new owner will receive it with their fingerprints on the vinyl. Secondly, the record was numbered #0000001. Each of the records was numbered and this was the first ever made.
There is a huge market for Beatles memorabilia as the band is so iconic. Anything from lyric sheets to other artifacts can be worth hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of dollars. This particular sale is notable, but there have been many others before and there will be many more after.
