You may not know it, but key collection is a free time activity and can be quite profitable. This key, a John Deere TR590, is one of seven or eight in existence. It was auctioned in York in 2009, where it sold for an astonishing US $15,000.
The TR590 was part of the Dain four-wheel drive tractor, which the well-known John Deere tractor company manufactured in 1918 and 1919. Only 100 of these tractors were produced and sold, mainly in North and South Dakota, before John Deere abandoned them to focus on the Model D. Wheel wrenches came with the tractors and were, in most cases, left behind, except for this one and a few others.
