Lou Gehrig is one of the most famous baseball players, and his collectibles have been known to fetch a lot of money at auctions. A big money-maker from the Gehrig years is his 1933 Goudey baseball card. Gehrig was depicted twice in the 1933 Goudey set.

The Gehrig cards are the keys to the set, and the PSA 9 cards are the best sellers as they are in perfect condition. These cards are found with white borders and light blue coloring, and # 160 (rare than # 92) has been described as “unloved” due to a lack of focus and color. Yet despite these flaws, the 1933 Goudey still sold for US $192,000 at auction in the 2010s.
