Original price: R$ 6.25 million*
Current value: R$ 6.25 million*
Made by Swiss artisan Christian Bailly, who spent 15,000 hours creating his masterpiece, the L'Oiseleur doll is a million-dollar doll. She holds the record for being the most expensive doll in the world. Called “Bird Trainer,” this doll is made from 2,340 polished steel or gold parts, which consist of gears and spring-loaded wheels.
The doll is four feet tall and comes with a real sword, as well as a pair of singing birds, a flute and an embroidered costume straight from the Renaissance period. But, after all, what does this six million dollar doll do? When you wrap her with a golden key, the doll blows a flute and plays the song “Marche des Rois” by composer Georges Bizet. Your little bird friends sing along.
