The first generation of Transformers was 1985, in its second year, and Hasbro was granting licenses to bring more toys into the growing story. Jetfire was one of those toys, and was one of the most sought after Transformers in the line. Jetfire transforms into a 1/55 Super Valkyrie (VF-1S).
The design was much more intricate than many other Transformers, which was one of the reasons it was so cool. Jetfire's steps needed to be completed in the exact order, otherwise he wouldn't work. Jetfire's original Transformers G1 from the 1980s are worth a whopping US $6,000 on some auction sites.
