The Most Valuable Collectors' Items in History

182. Lite-Brites

Manufacturer: Hasbro
Original Price: $5-$10*
Current value: $330*

In 1967, Lite-Brite was invented. At the time, the toy didn't have the sophistication you see in current models. It was just a light box with plastic parts fitted into a panel. You could create an image using the included templates or you could create your own “free” image. In total, there were eight colors of pieces: violet, pink, yellow, green, clear, orange, blue and red.

Hasbro would provide new colors and refills in case kids lost the pieces (which they often did). If you have a Lite-Brite from the 1960s, you can resell it for up to US$ 330, as long as it's in good condition.
