Air Jordans have always been a culmination of sneaker design. They have made former NBA player Michael Jordan a very rich man, and sometimes certain Air Jordan variations sell at auction for tens of thousands of dollars, if not more. The Nike Air Jordan 1 Retro High “Legends of the Summer” Glitter Shoes are no exception.
A series of these bright red shoes were worn by Justin Timberlake on his “Legends of Summer” tour with Jay-Z in 2013. Timberlake gave the shoes to a select group of people, and their rarity (and celebrity history) made them were valued by collectors. Sotheby's recently sold a size ten pair for US$15,120.
