The Most Valuable Collectors' Items in History

214. Siamese Mate Rubik's Cube

Creator: Tony Fisher
Original Price: $4*
Current value: $100-$125*

The Mate Siamese Cube is certainly one of the strangest and most difficult Rubik's cubes to solve. Developed by Tony Fischer in 1982, the creation contains two Rubik's cubes that have been linked together at an angle. The double cubes overlap, and the side they are on cannot be solved, but the other sides need to be.

These cubes were sold during the original craze, although they were not produced in the millions, in the same way as the solitaire Rubik's cubes. On eBay, Mate's original cubes from the 1980s cost around US$100 to US$125, a far cry from the original price of US$4.
