On May 28, 1934, in Canada, twins named Annette, Marie, Cecile, Yvonne and Emilie were born to Elzire and Oliva Dionne. The Dionne Quintuplets became a media sensation and the girls began working for Twentieth Century Fox. They made three films for the company and also earned money from endorsements.
The Dionne twins were ambassadors for products ranging from typewriters to cod liver oil, and they were responsible for attracting many tourists to Ontario. There were many souvenirs associated with the only sisters, and, for example, a calendar featuring the Dionne twins is worth between 35 and 45 dollars today.
