Few games were thought to have survived, which explains their high price. The 1957 Elvis Presley game is, as the package says, a “game for the young at heart.” There are photographs of Elvis receiving a copy of his own game while backstage at the Philadelphia Sports Arena on April 5, 1957.

The game in the pink box was a “love prediction” board game that allowed you to find out who loved you, who would “date” you, and who would marry and run away with you. The Elvis Presley game was made by Teen-Age Games, Inc.

Presley would die just 20 years later, at the age of 42. His death undoubtedly caused the game's price to rise at that time, but the rarity of the game itself is what caused the price to continue to rise as collectors became fixated on the collectible.
