Samantha Parkington was a Victorian era doll released in 1986. She was offered for sale with Molly McIntire and Kirsten Larson. The three dolls were the first historical characters from American Girl Co. Samantha was archived in May 2009, after selling out within a few months. Samantha had a reissue in 2014 with BeForever.
Parkington's face is drawn in the classic mold. She has fair skin, wavy dark brown hair, and decal brown eyes that differ from the standard brown you find on most brown-eyed dolls. The other American with brown eyes is Ivy Ling. Samantha's “Meet Outfit” is what Edwardian girls of her class and age would wear in that period. It can be worth up to US$ 4,200 on auction sites.
