You may not recognize the name “Xero”, but you will know the name Linkin Park. Linkin Park was called Xero before changing the band's name, and “Xero” was their first self-titled demo. The tape was recorded in 1996 and 1997 and released in November 1997. The cassette tape is 12 minutes and 36 seconds long.

Produced by Mike Shinoda, Xero was influenced by what the band was “listening to at the time”. Shinoda said all voices were recorded using a Shure SM58 microphone. Despite Xero Although it was a failure when it was launched, Linkin Park took off in 2000, which increased the value of Xero and made it a classic of the band's early history.
