Harry Potter has become one of the most valuable franchises of all time, and first edition box sets of the books are worth thousands of dollars. The first editions of the 1997 original are also “Grail books” among Potter collectors, as only five-hundred were published.
The first box set of Harry Potter books was released on October 1, 2007. The Harry Potter Box Set: The Complete Collection included all seven titles in the series. These box sets can be worth US$ 40,000 to US$ 56,000. In fact, a rare Harry Potter & The Philosopher's Stone book that had misprints sold for US$60,000 in 2018.
